About the Artist
In 2018, Marco and Andrea, two friends, musicians, and producers from Rome, founded RIVE, an electronic music duo. Their sound is distinguished by its rich and layered textures, where organic rhythms and the analog warmth of synthesizers merge with a deep passion for musical harmony and acoustic instruments. The piano serves as the foundation for their arrangements, drawing inspiration from the minimalist worlds of Nils Frahm and Ólafur Arnalds. From there, they craft intricate soundscapes reminiscent of the productions of Max Cooper and Rival Consoles. However, RIVE is more than just music. Marco and Andrea share a realistic and respectful vision of nature, rooted in environmental awareness and the belief in the power of individual action. They aspire to build a community that envisions a cleaner, more vibrant world, driven by collective responsibility and effort.
