Lucartola Presents Shudder out sept. 27
Lucartola is back with Shudder, a haunting tribute to the lingering presence of a loved one, capturing the feeling of holding onto something that feels whole but isn’t. As the track unfolds, the creeping sense of obsession and despair becomes unmistakable, drawing listeners into its dark embrace. Shudder effortlessly blends alternative pop with soft rock, weaving a delicate tapestry of strums and strings that gently pull you in. Beginning with an echo of emptiness, the bass and keys slowly rise to prominence, introducing a bittersweet undertone that permeates the entire track. It’s an emotional, melancholic journey, perfect for those intimate moments of introspection and longing.
Lucartola, Luca Villari, born in Rome 24 years ago, has always found refuge in his music—a sanctuary he has gradually opened up to his listeners over the years. His compositions delve into themes of emotion, transcendence, psychology, joys, and, yes, even traumas.
An eclectic listener from the beginning, he draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists such as Jeff Buckley, Tamino, Aurora, Wolf Alice, and Slowdive. Infusing his work with his own distinct songwriting style and his soft, deep voice, Lucartola strives to resonate with the deepest vibrations of the soul, evident in his previous releases such as Hide’s Hands, Heavenly Heavily, Garden and Chandelier Fire.
Shudder will be out on Sep. 27th and Duskey is honored to introduce this new member to the family. Stream all his work below.
