Lucartola returns with “Shudder”, an ode to the body of a loved one as if it were still a whole. As the piece progresses, an atmosphere of obsession and anguish becomes increasingly evident. “Shudder” mixes alternative pop with soft rock sonorities, and unravels gently across strums and strings. Going from a sense of emptiness at the beginning, we feel coming in as protagonists bass and keys, bring out the bittersweet of the whole filling up the space. Calling it a response of sorts of Tamino – Indigo Night “mono arabic fairytale”.
